"My eBay Summary" AUTO REFRESH

New - November 2007

This program was written to be specifically used with the "My eBay Summary" screen in eBay.
This screen is used to monitor the sellers/buyers bids (and other things).

I found that I had to continually refresh the screen by clicking the refresh button or by pushing the F5 function key.

This program does this for you - automatically every minute.

How does it work?

Purchase the program with the Buy Now button below.
Once you have downloaded it the executable  file is ready to run.
We are now assuming that you are connected to the internet and to eBay.
Once installed and is running (I put it into the Startup folder so that the program runs every time I start my PC) it waits in the background for the "My eBay Summary" screen to become active.

If it is not active the top bar is grey; click the top bar to make it active and normally becomes a blue colour in the default settings.

As soon as the "My eBay Summary" window is selected and becomes active the program senses it and shows this message in the centre of the screen (for about 3 seconds):

At the same time, the screen is refreshed, as if you had pressed the F5 key or clicked the refresh button.
While this screen remains active, this process will repeat every minute, returning you to the same section of the page each time.

Don't forget - there will be times when you will be required to enter your login details, but then once you have done this the process will continue.

To help this process, tick the box labeled "Keep me signed in..." on the eBay login screen which keeps the login detail current for 24 hours.

SndChk - Test your PC Sound System

Separate checks for the Left and Right speakers, to check that you have them on the correct side..
Mono mode, where both left and right signals are combined, indicates whether the speakers are in or out of phase.
When speakers are in phase the sound will appear to come from the centre between the speakers.
If out of phase, the sound will appear to come from the sides only.
The speakers should be in phase for correct operation and best sound image.
To correct the out of phase condition the wiring to one of the speakers will have to be changed. This may need the speaker unit to be dismantled and should only be attempted by those technically competent otherwise damage may be caused to the speaker unit.
If the speakers are out of phase, no damage will occur, it will just sound wrong.
Stereo mode is the normal mode where the sound should appear spread across between the speakers.

This program was written in Delphi and as such needs no additional files. Just download and run.

Downloaded file is ready to run.

eAutoRun

Updated - see note below.
This program was writen to assist CD authors in the process of making the files required to autostart (autorun) an HTML file.
This single executable file (eAutoRun.exe ) is placed in with the other files ready to copy to CD. This exe file is then run, which brings up a setup screen. The required HTML filename is typed in and when OK is clicked,  the program produces the required autorun.inf file and a special eautorun.html file which has, as part of its contents, the filename of the HTML file which you wish to launch.

These three files eautorun.exe, eautorun.html and autorun.inf are then placed on the CD with the other files including of course the HTML file you wish to launch.

When the finished CD is placed in the drive the autorun.inf file will cause the eautorun.exe file to run. The eautorun.exe  finds the required files and then launches the required HTML file for you. (The setup screen will not appear.)

If you find that the HTML filename (launch) is wrong, there are three ways to fix this.
 1) Edit the eautorun.html file changing the second line. Do not change anything else.
 2) Delete the autorun.inf file and run eautorun.exe again. this will reproduce the files with the new HTML filename.
 3) Best method:- Run eautorun.exe and right click in the splash screen. The setup screen will appear and allow you to enter a new HTML filename. This will overwrite the files for you.

Now updated to include option to produce just the autorun.inf file required to autostart executables on a CD.

  • As the program starts you are given the option to produce the files to autostart an HTML file or the new option to produce the autorun.inf file which is all that is required to launch an executable file on a CD.
  • You may select an icon file to use which will display as the CD icon.
  • Once this autorun.inf file has been produced the eAutorun.exe is no longer required to be copied to the CD (as it is in the case of an HTML file).

This is the setup screen for the HTML files...
